Christmas Decorations

Happy New Year!  Hope y'all had a good holidays with your families and friends.  December had to be one of my favorite months in the year.  Holidays, sales, good food, good times~  I had the opportunity to check out a few of the popular X'mas decorations in Hong Kong during my recent trip and they are beautiful.

PS.  Not sure what is going on with Flickr but the thumbnails are not showing up properly.  (I tried re-doing the links but it didn't solve the problem)  However, if you clicked on the picture, the links are working.  Oh well, I am probably going to post it on G+ and link it from there next time.

Harbor City, Tsim Sha Tsui

A well-known destination for Xmas decoration since the 80s.  If you are claustrophobic, do not come here.  The crowd is insane but they do have one of the best Xmas decoration in my opinion.

Times Square, Causeway Bay

A Xmas village created using only Legos - brilliant!

Heritage 1881, Tsim Sha Tsui

A place that's pretty all year round.  They have a 5-metre-tall teddy bear and 10-metre-tall Xmas tree as their centerpiece this year and there was a long line of people waiting to take pictures... I prefer Heritage 1881 as is, without the bear.  So no, I didn't queue at the line.

Statue Square, Central

Tiffany Co. turned Statue Square into a Tiffany Xmas wonderland.  Although the centerpiece is the 18-metre-tall Xmas tree, most people came to see the fairytale-inspired 24-seat carousel.  I thought the Tiffany colored boxes are nice but it was pretty "hard sell".

Landmark, Central

They have a ski resort theme decoration with revolving cable cars.  Pretty neat and innovative!  and the white Xmas tree is innovative.

Overall, 2012 has been good to me.  Hope 2013 will be even better!
